Fees
Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases are handled on a flat fee, paid-up-front basis. Fees for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy range depending on the complexity of the individual case. Most straight-forward consumer debt (i.e. credit card debt) related Chapter7 petitions are handled for a minimum fee of $1,200 plus Bankruptcy Court filing costs ($299 for a Chapter 7).
Chapter 13 cases require additional work and typically involve a minimum attorney fee charge of $3,200 plus Bankruptcy Court filing costs ($274 for a Chapter 13) though more complex cases may involve additional fees.
Adversary Proceedings and Motions are generally handled on an hourly basis and are charged out at $250 per hour plus court costs. Flat fees may be negotiated.
